MDF wall panels are glued to your wall to make a normal wall a bit more stylish. Wall panels are cheaper and ideal to work with for wood panelling due to their ability to be produced fast and shipped cheap.
The MDF wall panelling only comes in 9mm thickness because it sits on the wall nicely and doesn’t stick out too far.
Drywall isn’t super strong so it’s not a great idea to apply too much pressure to it.
MDF wall panelling is very reliable and versatile compared to other materials. It is more durable, resilient and much denser.
MDF is very heavy and hard to work with and it can’t be stained. It is vulnerable to extreme heat because it’s made from wax or resin-like compounds.
