Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between 65×20 mm and smaller pins?

65 mm is the pin length and 20 mm is the diameter — these are heavier-duty pins for larger bins.

Will these pins fit all bins?

Only if the bin’s hinge holes accept a 20 mm pin and hinge dimension accommodate 65 mm length — measure first.

What material are they?

Made of strong UV-stabilised plastic or nylon to resist cracking, warping, and wear.

Do they include locking clips?

Usually they are sold as pins only; locking clips may need to be added separately.

How to install them?

Remove old pin, align hinge holes on lid and bin, push new 65×20 mm pin until it locks.

Are they more durable than thinner pins?

Yes — a 20 mm diameter gives more strength under heavy use.

Can I reuse old pins?

Only if undamaged and fitting snugly.

How long can they last?

Under regular use and exposure, many years — depends on environment.

Are these pins weather-resistant?

Yes — high-quality pins are UV and moisture-resistant.

How to choose correct pin size?

Use your current pin’s dimensions — length × diameter — to ensure a proper fit.
